West Street Yard
Commercial Development Project
West Street Yard is a charming retail and professional condominium, which reflects its historic origins. The property was originally built by George Switzer in 1898 and operated as the Switzer Lumber Yard until the 1990s. In 1998, the property was renovated and reopened as the West Street Yard, maintaining its historic charm while offering the amenities of a new building, with modern wiring, plumbing, sprinkler and HVAC. This included preserving the historic integrity of the original buildings by capitalizing on the use of exposed posts, beams and pipes. The harmonious blending of old and new reflects a contemporary appreciation of both aesthetics. Acting as the construction manager and contractor, we were integrally involved from the initial design stage through construction and completion.
