Old Meets New

This project is a study in historic architecture meeting a new aesthetic. Originally built in 1808, the home’s historic structure was carefully preserved while an outdated addition was removed to make way for a thoughtfully designed new living space. The new construction introduced a light-filled kitchen, dining and living areas, along with additional bedrooms, all oriented to take in sweeping views of the surrounding rolling hills and distant mountains.

Natural materials were central to the design, with warm Douglas fir paneling and refined white oak cabinetry grounding the interiors in timeless character. Blending history with modern performance, the home was also built to meet today’s energy efficiency standards, ensuring comfort, sustainability, and longevity.
