Located on a charming hill in Kent, CT, the Marvelwood School is a college preparatory, private boarding school focused on empowering students in a small, safe and welcoming community. Marvelwood’s athletic program is a strong part of students’ overall educational curriculum. The new, two-story, 22,660 square-foot athletic facility supports this focus and enables students and faculty to enjoy a full range of athletic activities. The extensive new building includes a gymnasium, a wrestling room, a dance/yoga room, an athletic training room, an alpine ski team room, as well as four locker rooms. Although the center replaced the existing structure, the new build used structural steel and mimicked a barn style to honor the rustic character and rural topography of the institution’s setting.
