IMS – Outdoor Working Lab
Outdoor Working Lab
The new, net-zero Outdoor Working Lab (OWL) enhances the Indian Mountain School’s emphasis of the outdoors by conjoining classroom with nature. The 1500-square-foot building strengthens hands-on learning and outdoor play through its flexible space that allows for accommodation of a wide range of activities. This state-of-the-art project is powered by the school’s new solar field and is therefore mindful of its environment in all manners: functionally, educationally, and scenically. The OWL’s immersion into nature provides breathtaking views year-round and fosters curiosity, mindfulness, and growth for students and staff alike.
