A Modern Hideout
In rural Connecticut, A Modern Hideout provides a magnificent respite from the clients’ highly active lifestyle. Stone materials define this habitat, internally and externally, marrying its extended, elegant layout with a modern forest twist. The 8,000 square foot residence is configured to form two courtyards and consists of three memorable spaces: the living area, the sleeping quarters, and the guest/garage wing. A Modern Hideout’s exquisite pool and pool house integrate beautifully into its quiet design and fit intimately into its glorious landscape. The home’s architect was a former partner of the renowned 1960’s era contemporary architect, Marcel Breuer, and reflects many of the characteristics of that period.
